I'm A Photographer, A Wife, And
A Small Business Owner
Hello there! I'm Jordan Sylvia, a 30-year-old photographer with a deep passion for nature, the outdoors, cooking, gardening, and, of course, photography. I originally hail from Woodland, California, but these days, you'll find me residing near Shelton, Washington, surrounded by the breathtaking Olympic Mountains and Peninsula.
While I take on the role of a dedicated housewife to my wonderful husband, Shane, who supports my dreams as I do his, my heart truly beats for candid portrait photography. I've honed my skills in capturing those precious moments during weddings, family gatherings, and maternity sessions. My editing style is all about those bright and golden tones, ensuring that the natural colors our eyes see are beautifully preserved in my photographs.
My photography approach revolves around harnessing the magic of natural light. It's amazing how this allows me to capture even the tiniest details that contribute to the distinct atmosphere of each event. You see, I firmly believe that candid moments are where the most heartfelt memories reside, and my aim is to keep my photography as authentic and lifelike as possible.
For me, photography isn't just about snapping pictures; it's about freezing emotions, capturing fleeting moments, and dancing light. My mission? Well, it's all about encapsulating the very essence of a person's soul and the sheer beauty of life within every single photograph I take. I'm dedicated to crafting timeless memories that will be cherished not just by today's generation, but for generations to come.

My Editing Style
My Editing Style Is A Reflection Of My Deep Appreciation For The Beauty Of Natural Light.
The golden hour holds a special place in my heart, as it bathes everything it touches in a warm, ethereal glow. I embrace this enchanting light and infuse my images with its captivating warmth, creating a sense of coziness and nostalgia.
Warm tones are a hallmark of my editing style, adding depth and richness to my photographs. I strive to highlight the natural colors that we see with our own eyes, ensuring that my images remain true to life. Whether it's the soft, diffused light of a foggy summer day or the moody atmosphere of a rainy winter afternoon, I adapt my editing to suit the unique qualities of each scene.

One of the key aspects of my editing process is the customization of presets. These presets change depending on the time of day, season, and sunlight, allowing me to maintain a consistent yet flexible style. A foggy day with no sunlight in the summer is completely different from a rainy, misty winter day. Similarly, a golden hour sunset in the summer has a different feel compared to the golden glow of winter.

A Photographer's Editing Style Is Indeed A Representation Of Their Art Form.
It's the final touch that brings a vision to life, transforming a simple image into a work of art. For me, editing is not just about enhancing a photo; it's about infusing it with emotion, atmosphere, and storytelling. This is why I hold my editing process in such high regard. Each adjustment I make is a deliberate choice aimed at conveying the mood and essence of the moment. From fine-tuning colors to adjusting contrast and exposure, every detail is meticulously crafted to ensure that the final image is a true reflection of my creative vision.

It's for this reason that I choose not to distribute raw images. Raw files, while containing valuable data, lack the polish and refinement that defines my finished product. By withholding raw images, I maintain control over the final presentation of my work, preserving the integrity of my artistic vision.
Instead, I prefer to deliver fully edited images that showcase the full extent of my creativity and expertise. Each photograph that leaves my hands is a testament to the care and dedication that goes into my craft, a carefully curated piece of art that tells a story and evokes emotion.
In the end, my editing style is not just about enhancing photos; it's about elevating them to a higher plane of expression, where beauty and emotion intersect in perfect harmony. And by withholding raw images, I ensure that each piece of my art is presented to the world exactly as intended – a true reflection of my artistic vision and skill.
