I originally hail from Woodland, California, but these days, you'll find me residing near Shelton, Washington, surrounded by the breathtaking Olympic Mountains and Peninsula.
While I take on the role of a dedicated housewife to my wonderful husband, Shane, who supports my dreams as I do his, my heart truly beats for candid portrait photography. Growing up, I always found myself drawn to looking at pictures for the core memories they hold. That's why candid moments have a special place in my heart. I know firsthand that these unposed, spontaneous shots carry the best and most heartfelt memories.

My journey into photography has a unique beginning, setting it apart from the common narrative of many photographers. While the typical tale often revolves around starting as a hobbyist and eventually turning it into a career, my story took an unexpected turn.
Just a month before my wedding day, I found myself in a state of panic as I desperately sought a replacement photographer. A family member had committed to capturing our special day, but unfortunately, due-to-unforeseen circumstances led them to bail on me. This sudden setback left me in a frenzy, worried that I wouldn't have someone to document one of the most significant moments of my life.
In my haste and anxiety, I ended up making a regrettable choice by hiring a photographer who wasn't experienced in wedding photography. As the day unfolded, it became evident that the person lacked the skill and understanding required to capture the true essence of our celebration. Although we had some pictures to remember the day by, they failed to reflect the joy and emotions we experienced, leaving me disappointed.
Fast forward three years when my maid-of-honor came to me with a dilemma: Her wedding photographer had been cleared to work after recovering from an illness; however, one of their family members refused to allow the photographer at the wedding. Just two weeks before their wedding, they decided to cancel with their original photographer. When she shared this with me, I volunteered my limited knowledge of photography. With little to no experience in wedding photography, I enthusiastically accepted the challenge and dedicated myself to studying diligently to ensure I could capture their special day.
The golden moment I experienced during that day ignited the passion I had been searching for—the answer to the question, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' I found my calling as a photographer specializing in weddings, family, and portrait photography!

My Editing Style Is A Reflection Of My Deep Appreciation For The Beauty Of Natural Light.
The golden hour holds a special place in my heart, as it bathes everything it touches in a warm, ethereal glow. I embrace this enchanting light and infuse my images with its captivating warmth, creating a sense of coziness and nostalgia.
Warm tones are a hallmark of my editing style, adding depth and richness to my photographs. I strive to highlight the natural colors that we see with our own eyes, ensuring that my images remain true to life. Whether it's the soft, diffused light of a foggy summer day or the moody atmosphere of a rainy winter afternoon, I adapt my editing to suit the unique qualities of each scene.
One of the key aspects of my editing process is the customization of presets. These presets change depending on the time of day, season, and sunlight, allowing me to maintain a consistent yet flexible style. A foggy day with no sunlight in the summer is completely different from a rainy, misty winter day. Similarly, a golden hour sunset in the summer has a different feel compared to the golden glow of winter.

It's for this reason that I choose not to distribute raw images. Raw files, while containing valuable data, lack the polish and refinement that defines my finished product. By withholding raw images, I maintain control over the final presentation of my work, preserving the integrity of my artistic vision.
Instead, I prefer to deliver fully edited images that showcase the full extent of my creativity and expertise. Each photograph that leaves my hands is a testament to the care and dedication that goes into my craft, a carefully curated piece of art that tells a story and evokes emotion.
